Ways to subscribe to me

There are several ways to subscribe to my Quitter posts. The RSS feed, custom email or chat notifications, Neocities, or a good old browser bookmark paired with sheer determination.

RSS

Here's the link to my RSS feed.

RSS allows you to subscribe to different blogs, podcasts and other internet content outside of social media. An RSS reader of your choice can aggregate RSS feeds from multiple websites into a single feed, so that you can check their updates in a single place. You only need to paste an RSS feed link somewhere in your RSS reader to subscribe.

I recommend Inoreader or Feedly as beginner RSS readers. You can also subscribe to RSS feeds via some e-mail applications, like Thunderbird (recommended) or Outlook.

Custom email or chat notifications

There are some free apps that convert the RSS feed to email or chat app notifications, among others. For these you will usually need either the link to my RSS feed or this site's url.

There are several ways to do this and I haven't personally tried any of them, but the easiest I've found are:

Some services like IFTTT allow you to automate many actions, such as sending an email or Whatsapp notification, among many others, every time there's a new RSS item.

Alternatively, some email clients natively support RSS feed subscription. You can research how to do this for your particular email service.

Neocities

You can also follow me through Neocities, where this site is hosted.

Neocities (a pun on the defunct GeoCities) is a platform where you can host your own website for free. It incorporates some elements of social media, such as the ability to follow websites and comment on their updates through Neocities' dashboard. Unlike social media, you have complete freedom on the looks and organization of your site, but you need to code it yourself.

Its friendly community is mostly comprised of beginners to website-making and appreciators of old internet nostalgia, with all kinds of interests.

Old-school style?

I guess you can always add me to your browser favourites, if you remember to check as often as you want to!
